The Spanish Kyudo Association (AEK) organizes the practice of Kyudo through its dojos. 'Dojo' here does not mean a building, as there are no kyudojos in Spain. 'Dojo' refers to a group of people who practise Kyudo at least once a week under the guidance of a graded member of the AEK. Every year there are two national weekend seminars that are always well attended. Spain is a vast country and at present there are only four dojos in the country. The distance between dojos is more than 300 km. To practise Kyudo in Spain requires a strong commitment. This commitment is extended to international Kyudo events, well supported by AEK members.
To help with the establishment of new groups the AEK lends material and sends instructors. These instructors meet at their own weekend courses twice a year.
